The foundation of a project affects everything built on top of it. Strong conventions and predictable structure reduce friction later.

When the fundamentals are unstable, every feature costs more to maintain. When they are solid, iteration gets faster over time.

Build the boring parts well so the interesting parts stay enjoyable.
